Parrotdog Limited Releases
November meant two limited release 440ml cans for Parrotdog. And if you know me, you know I love a starburst.
Richmond Ranges Tramp
This time last year Ben and I went and tramped the Heaphy Track. So, we’re now trying to make it tradition. A healthy dose of outdoor time just before the ‘busy’ period and heading into summer. This time we spent three days tramping in the Richmond ranges. The weather played ball and treated us to three crystal clear days with big blue skies and very little wind. River swims being a highlight too. Only a few other people out and about, so we had the huts to ourselves. I guess we’ll be back again in November 2026.
Abel Launch
Congratulations to the team at Abel on their recent launch of their radical fragrance. All new packaging, custom bottles, scents, the lot. Happt to have been helping on a few bits and pieces of the puzzle along the way, inlcuding the window display at Artifacts in Taipai , Taiwan.
Papatahi Hut Tramp.
Sunday 12th October was spent tramping into Papatahi Hut in the Orongorongos, with Tom, Siobhan, and Carl. Strong northerly and plenty of rain made for a fun a trip. We were blessed with a magical close encounter with a deer. A nice way to spend a Monday too and always come out of the bush with a clear head and a few ideas.
Max Olijnyk Visit.
I remember hearing of Max before knowing him, this rad skater guy who lived in Melbourne, who wrote books and made clothes. Then one day I heard he moved to Wellington, and then one day I met him, and it all checked out. Max is the dude. He’s forever fostering a good skate community and heads the Wellington Skateboard Association and now he’s making clothes again. Get yourself some of Max’s Slacks. Over the past few months it's been an honor to help Max build out the start of the OLIJNYK brand.
Almighty at The Design Conference.
I spent the week up in Brisbane with the Almighty team to attend The Design Conference. Three days of slinging drinks and taking in a range of content from speakers from all over the world. Nice to meet and hear Sam Southwell speak and get some insight into what makes Studio South tick. I have an appreciation for how hospitality plays a role in how they do things.

Particularly love the way the fridge at Parrotdog looked with LR No 27 and No 28 sitting next stacks of Raptor.
